Best Remedies For Blisters On Gums

Mouth ulcers or blisters are very common and can occur on the gums, inner cheeks, or lips. Though they heal on their own, they are very annoying and irritating for the person until they get fully resolved. Here are a few remedies that can be used to get rid of them at the earliest.
Gargling with hot and cold water alternatively helps mouth ulcers. You can also gargle with raw milk which is very soothing for the sores. Fresh coconut milk if used for gargling 3 to 4 times a day helps in resolving them early. One can mix a pinch of salt in warm water and gargle with it a few times a day. This also helps in removing bad breath and tooth ache.
Dietary measures:
Eating lots of yogurt, cottage cheese and buttermilk along with juices that contain vitamin C is useful in this case as vitamin C helps in curing them. Other than this, raw onions which contain sulfur are useful as sulfur acts as a medicine for ulcers. You should avoid eating spicy food, any kind of meat, sharp edged food like dry bread or chips. Also, you should avoid any irritants like coffee, chewing gums and lozenges. Eating raw salad to include onion and tomatoes is helpful. Chewing on basil leaves also helps in relieving sores. Sipping herbal tea or green tea is also helpful.
Topical treatments:
Applying peppermint oil or a paste of honey and coconut milk helps in reducing pain and inflammation. Mix water and hydrogen peroxide into a paste and apply on the ulcer. Hydrogen peroxide acts as antibiotic to treat ulcer and also reduces bacterial growth but you should be careful of not swallowing hydrogen peroxide as much as possible. One can apply Milk Of Magnesia to the sores. It is a very effective antacid and helps in maintaining pH balance of the mouth.
Baking soda:
Baking soda is a miracle remedy that is used in many conditions. This is very effective if mixed with water and applied on the sore because it has a soothing effect on the ulcer and also helps in keeping the mouth clean. It is also helpful in gum diseases and tooth problems.
Use mouthwash:
Regular use of mouthwash also helps in relieving mouth ulcers. There are several mouthwashes available in the market that are specifically formulated for mouth ulcers but you have to be careful to not swallow these medicated mouthwashes.
Pain relievers:
One can take over-the-counter pain relievers if absolutely necessary. Otherwise, ice cubes help numb the sores and make them painless and it is a safe and cheap pain reliever for mouth ulcers.
All the above are helpful in mouth ulcers but if you see persistence or recurrence of the ulcers, you should always visit your physician because mouth ulcers can be from various disease conditions like hormonal changes or herpes and these conditions have to be treated first before making your mouth ulcer free and pain free. So, eat health and stay safe.
